Ranger Challenge is called the "varsity sport" of Army ROTC. The team trains in basic infantry skills. Every fall, the team attends a competition against other schools in our brigade. Typically, events include constructing a one-rope bridge, patrolling, assembly and disassembly of the M16A2 rifle and M9 pistol, the Army Physical Fitness Test, Land Navigation, and a 10 kilometer road march. For more photos, check out the ISU ROTC Photo Gallery in the navigation bar to the left.
The team trains separately from the battalion. Anyone is welcome to join the team. If you are interested contact MAJ Baughman or MSG Cooper
for more information.
